What do we look for?
• Ideas that Impact Population Health Management
• Innovations that Help Deliver “Culturalized” Medicine
• Novel Methods to Deliver Healthcare or Facilitate Research
• Business Ideas that Impact Community and Patient Engagement
• Methods and Tools to Address Health Disparities
We want big ideas executed by smart and driven entrepreneurs. Ideas that seek to really impact community and patient health—not just in our local market but across the globe. We are looking for ideas that address real problems in the system—but that can start small. We seek innovations that leverage a business model that is sustainable and scalable.
Here are a few examples of how you can LIFT healthcare and Improve America’s healthcare system:
Let’s Reinvent Delivery. How can we apply new models of access and payment for primary care visits.
Let’s use Smart Health Sensors to Make Personal Care Better. What types of monitoring or sensors can we deploy into the home? Especially sensors or devices that can lower the cost of diagnostics or monitoring. Got any great ideas about how to leverage mobile or tablet devices into the patient setting that will help them stay healthy or to manage chronic disease?
How about Using Genomics to Understand Health States? Have any ideas about how we can use genetics to engage patients in management of their condition (prevention and/or earlier detection) towards a healthier patient and more productive transaction?
Lets Improve Home Health. Got any ideas for technologies that can help deliver better care in the home setting…or that can reduce costs…or potentially detect healthcare problems earlier?
Big Data and Novel Analytics Tools—Need We Say More? We believe we can use big data in healthcare to help healthcare professionals provide better care based on facts. You might agree…
And Who Has Any Good Ideas Around EMR interoperability? There are about 600± EHR’s in the health space today. Who can propose a model, technology, and service for interchanging all of the data in a secure, standard format so that other companies can take advantage of data, and also push data into the EMR ecosystem? That would be cool!
Any Ideas Around The Great White Noise Between Clinical Visits? When patients leave the clinical (or provider) setting they are all to often left to their own devices …meaning their mental and physical states (and therefore compliance to the care plan and health outcomes) aren’t observable by their doctor. We know they would love to know more about your invention!
